The Broker — The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the FMA-regulated broker.
That last detail tells you something. It says the founder has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. Still better than a founder with no industry background.
They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: forex, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. A wide spread. For a platform that launched in March 2026, that coverage is not narrow.
What You Trade On
Available: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Getting both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the alternative. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Plenty of traders find it more natural after comparing.
FIX API is there for algo traders but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That should be a good addition once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Works for beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can be below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. TabTrade does not.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote a much wider range.
Does this affect you? If you scalp, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, it matters less. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering is strong. Hardly anyone at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
Here is the detail you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Dodgy operations do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. That does not guarantee anything. But factor into your assessment.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal is worth it comes down to your priorities.
